About the Préselő Winery
This Tokaj wine region-based winery was founded in 2013. Its name refers to an industrial heritage, a centenarian double-press found in the former vinery house. Both my wife and me have been working previously in different fields, but our commitment and wine enthusiasm led us to build an 8 hectares vineyard estate around Erdőbénye. In the heart of the small picturesque village, we hit upon an old house with a 200 years old cellar serving today as a centre of our estate. As a result of hard work, our winery has been established together with the vineyards, cellar and guesthouse step by step, and the estate was getting to reach its own face. Our wines have been renowned and appreciated both by winelovers and by the professionals today. Rooms of the 150-year old, comfortable and beautifully restored guesthouse merge modern vintage elements with unique design basis. It is open for all wine enthusiasts and also for those, who simply like this region and want to have a short look behind the scenes of this boutique winery.
Discover Furmint with the Préselő Furmint 2015
The winery’s Tokaji Furmint 2015 wine was fourth-ranking in the annual contest of Furmint wines of magazine VinCE, the best known wine journal in Hungary. Tests of the VinCE magazine are performed by the best experts in the field, sommeliers, wine traders, winemakers as well as wine experts with international certificates by evaluating bottled wines provided by the wineries in blind tasting.

“It is a greenish, lemon yellow coloured wine with clean, intensive fragrance of peach and pear. It is a moderately intensive, proportionate and delicious wine with vivid acids and some carbon-dioxide. On the palate, it evokes the freshness of summer apple and the sourness of green apple. It is a dynamic and complex wine with lingering aftertaste”– says the evaluation of the experts.
